Codiac Regional RCMP is requesting the public's assistance to identify two suspects and a person of interest in the recent debit card frauds that have occurred in the region.

Thus far, Codiac RCMP has received approximately 30 formal complaints.

In the early hours of February 16, 2012, these 3 individuals entered a convenience store with gas service located on Champlain Street in Dieppe. One of the point of sale terminals at the counter was removed and replaced making it possible for the suspects to obtain banking information from all the cards swiped on that specific terminal. The compromised terminal was removed by the service provider on March 5, 2012.

A terminal at a restaurant on Mountain Road in Moncton would also have been tampered with. The time frame of this incident is still unknown and it has not yet been determined if the two incidents are related.

The investigation so far as shown that the information stolen from the cards was used in a foreign country to obtain funds fraudulently.

If anyone has information on the three individuals depicted in these photos, they are asked to contact Codiac Regional RCMP at 857-2400 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS. (8477).
